Use counting tools when a platform has length limits, cleaning tools when copied text has broken spacing, and encoding tools only when another system expects that format. Review the result before replacing the original text.
- Keep line breaks when they carry meaning in lists, addresses, code, or poetry.
- Fancy Unicode text may be inaccessible or unsupported, so keep plain text for names, links, and important information.
- Base64 and Base64URL are reversible encodings, not encryption; do not use them to protect secrets.
